Thanks for all the encouragement regarding my 2 year old Yorkie I got(purchased) 2 weeks ago.I never had a dog before and she was never socialized, spent her first 2 years in a house , never wore a collar, etc.I hired a trainer(sined a contract!) to come to my house, he has her on a tie down( a 12 inch leash) He wants her there if she is not out with me learning to potty, essentially all day. He says she can not go on the bed, furniture and doesn't want me to hold and coddle her. He says she will never get housebroken if I contine to do this. He is helping me to condition her to get used to her crate. But some of his methods only make her tremble more. Help!
