Default Best Vaccuum

I seem to kill a new vaccuum in less than 3 months after purchase. Too much pet hair I guess. Anyone know of or have a really good vaccuum that they can't seem to kill.

Fur and hair is part of my daily life. I have a golden retriever, yorkie, 2 cats- both longhaired- One cat has a really fluffy coat. No matter how good I am about cleaning the filter and changing the bags/empting the canester frequently I seem to kill the vacuum in less than 3 months. Thus far I have gotten all of my money back on all the vacuums (X4). But I am sick and tired to buying vacuums only for them to break.
