I know what you mean, unfortunately I have hurt my Bear and he began to get scared of the trimmer. So I use a powered nail filer. It's made for women ( I got it from Avon) but he loves it! Just last night I was trimming his paw fur and filing his claws, He was happily napping on my lap.
