IMO one puppy is a litter..SINCE the bitch setermines the number and the sire determines the sex if the puppies...I do not like litter pick unless it is a long time friend who is a total professional...I do know shwo breeders I deal with a very professioanla nd never ask for the only puppy...they will give you the option to pay the stud fee and keep the pup..perhaps allow you to give them a puppy from the next litter or even another litter you may have etc...
