If you look at a nutrition chart, you will see that on the OWL and Maintenance of Atkins that is exactly what they allow, but like everything, in moderation. and the WHO, the World health organization also agrees that 50 carbs is essential for a healthy body, when I was on the mainteannce I took in a little over 50 and still have bursts of energy, now I am well over 100 and feel bad and have little energy.
If I am not eating the bad carbs I am eating in general the following
Fruits, plenty of veges, salads, eggs, cheese, yoghurt, cottage cheese, all meats, lots of high fiber grains and crisp bread, sardines, avocadoes, so that is about what my intake is. I do not do sugars at all and neither do I do junk food. I will gain my weight from eating home cooked meals such as pastas, rice dishes that are accompanied by lots of protein, so it is obvious the high carb and proteins is a big no no for me. Otherwise, if I stopped eating anything high carb as mentioned then I maintain my weight with no problems. I just been eating a lot of the rice and pasta dishes and some potato
