Then my advice to those people would be to get out and get a job or quit having kids!
I have some in-laws that are like that...they make rude comments about things we spend OUR money on like, "Must be nice to have money to go on vacation...." I'm sorry, but I refuse to feel bad over anything I work my butt off for and you shouldn't feel bad either! There are opportunities out there for everyone who actually tries. Grrrr....

I'm with you MIL...don't sweat them...if that is all they have to sit around and worry about, then they must have very sad, boring lives.
