I agree with Nikki - they DO NOT deserve your attention at ALL. I am in the same boat you are too this year, my hubby and I are strapped like never before for cash this year and I still am a nut for buying my babies clothes and things. My hubby is a builder and it is so slow here now.
I think what we do with out kids, animals, finances, etc.... is a personal preference and if you do not have anything nice to say you should not say anything at all.
