LOL...now we can laugh....but I've been there with ya Mike but not with Izzy. We have three indoor cats and never had to worry about the escaping from our patio door until we got Izzy. The patio door is where we let Izzy in/out to go potty. We are always careful but I guess one of our cats got out without us knowing and about 6 hours later I see this strange cat on our deck and I went to get up to get it away thinking it was a stray and low and behold...it was our cat Snicky.
That little goober snuck right out without us even knowing it. So it can happen to anyone. Thank goodness our yard is fenced in and he didn't hop anything to get out.
Yay - Jack will milk this for a while and get all the treats he wants...lol. For sure he'll be let out first from now on.
