If you think of addiction like a disease you will understand that he isnt sick because he wants to be..or to hurt you and your family...he just cant help himself..its hard not to feel resentment..that is an understatment...but with time and support groups you will start to understand his addiction as a disease much like cancer..something he needs to recover from..even with cancer you can go into remission and then get cancer again..well with addiction an addict can do really well and then slip..its just part of the disease..
