It's all about timing! LOL! When she's even a little excited or happy those ears are down, but if you catch her in an attentive or relaxed state, you can get the "ears up" shots.
Those are my favorites! I feel so sad when her ears are down because when Marty does it, it's because he's in trouble. It's hard to get used to her ears being expressive of other emotions!
