Nutrical is not necessary UNLESS a puppy/dog is not eating or is hypoglycemic. My 3 yorkies who I have had since being small puppies have never had a drop of nutrical. If you give it to healthy dogs/puppies who are eating it could result in abnormally high sugar levels not to mention vitamin a toxicity, which is incredibly dangerous.

In the UK stores are not even sell nutrical, you have to get it prescribed from a vet. This is to prevent people giving it unnecessarily.
