Kibble in no way helps to clean their teeth. It would be like us eating crackers and hoping they'd clean our teeth. With both kibble and canned, teeth need to be brushed regularly to prevent tarter build-up. Kibble is so overprocessed and loses a lot of nutrients because of it. Canned food is less processed and contains a lot of moisture which is a lot better for them. The key is though to get a PREMIUM canned food. Lacy's on a raw diet but my cats get half raw/half grain-free canned food.
