Elphaba is not quite 4 months old...about 3 weeks ago I put a bell hanging from a string on the front door. Every time I took her outside I made her ring the bell. Within three days she was doing it on her own. Thats at the front door. She'll also scratch at the backdoor. If I'm sitting at the kitchen table and dont notice it right away she'll give a little yelp and look at me. If I'm in the family room and didn't notice her at the back door, she runs to the front door and rings her bell...then she runs back to the back door.
And when she just wants to be outside she rings the front bell a LOT.....like every 5 minutes! But since she's telling me...every time she wants to go out we go out! I'm trying to teach her she doesnt necessarily go out the door she ASKS...but we also go outside when she asks. |
