I'm sorry you are feeling this way. Traveling with a small dog really isn't that difficult. We drove from Alaska to Georgia and never had a prblem finding hotels that would take us each night. Also flying with them is very easy if you would be willing to pay. Your trip is quite some time away so you have a long time to look for a sitter. As far as him sleeping through the night, I'll bet that is coming soon.
