| Thanks ! Tammy fought Tara from October last year periodically....I always stopped them, but never separated them to different rooms as I was always with them.....the fighting continued until August this year when I got Tammy speyed.....me telling them off. Now she is the same as Tara - speyed - she knows she is no better than Tara, and Tara is the boss, like she always has been ! They get on fine now !
If yours haven't had a litter yet at age 3yrs, then I would ask on the breeder section if it is still safe to do so.....Mardelin advised me that they are at danger after 3 because their bones are hardened and less able to pass puppies......I didn't want to take that chance.....Tammy is more important than puppies to me.
If yours have had puppies already, then they will be ok until they are 5 yrs.
Personally if I had fighting bitches, then I would spey them....better that than them not bonding, half killing eachother, and having to give one up before it ends up badly injured......I know what you mean about how frightening it is when they fight ! My boy dog Casper never joined in
I would take some action if I were you....try speying as soon as you can.
Good luck and best wishes Debra x x x x
