Default I assume puppies will cry if they are hungry???

Lexie's puppies are just over 4 weeks now and it seems that I hardly ever see Lexie feed them and when I do it doesn't seem to be for very long. She is in now way neglecting them or anything, but I just wonder how much are they getting from her? The pups are all seemingly healthy and happy, they are not crying like they are starving, so I suppose Lexie is feeding them more than I know. I have tried a little gruel with the pups a few times in the last couple of days, but they don't seem very interested (another clue that they are getting enough feeding time from mom), but would just like a little reassurance from others here. Is it time to think about weaning a bit, what's the best way to go about it, etc. Your guidance will be appreciated. Thanks
