Default frustrated with yorkie owners/breeders

I want to have one of my pups become a therapy dog (not a service dog that I can take anywhere, therapy dog to go into nursing homes/hospitals)

Anyways in my search for how to do this ect I have come across some yorkie owners/breeders (the conversation always seems to go to how big my mom yorkie is ect)

Can anyone answer this for me...

Why is it so incredibly bad that I bred my female, who is closer to 8lbs than 7lbs?

I hear "that isn't within the AKC standards for yorkies.... they should be between 4-7 lbs"

Then I hear about their breeding females and non breeding dogs... and how they are standard.

Well if 4-7lbs is AKC standard... then wouldn't a 3lb yorkie be NONSTANDARD? and just as bad as an 8lb yorkie? if you are going by the AKC standards?

and what really gets my blood boiling is that some of these "breeders" are breeding Biewers... HELLO- Biewers are NOT accepted by the AKC at all- correct? I mean the AKC gave me papers on my female who was above their standard... but they won't give any paper on a biewer regardless of weight.

So why is it so bad that I bred my almost 8lb yorkie, and I can and do have papers on her, when these people are breeding biewers (at 3x the cost of a regular yorkie) who can't even be papered?

Does it make sense to you why these people are so put off by what I did, when what they are doing isn't even accepted by the AKC?

I love biewers, I will get one someday, when the prices of these "rare" yorkies goes down some... which that makes me laugh also... the same people who are disgusted with my "overweight" female, are just as disgusted with people who say a "chocolate yorkie" isn't rare it is a genetic defect and there for should be cheaper than a normal yorkie, and are disgusted when people charge more for their "chocolate yorkie" than a normal yorkie.... Are they not doing the same thing with biewers? I mean it is a genetic thing as to why biewers are white also... but yet they say they are "rare" and charge 2500 on up for them.

These people are so hypocrits in my book.

In the end I have decided to talk to "other" dog owners re:therapy dogs.... because they are a lot nicer than the yorkie people.

So can anyone answer for me why is it that many yorkie breeders preach "standard" (and look down on me) when they themselves are not breeding standard, and some are breeding yorkies not even accepted by the AKC???
