The main problem that I have with pet insurance is this:
YOU have to pay the bill first, then fill out forms and PRAY that you get reimbursed. It's certainly not going to help in an emergency situation, as you still have to have the money up front to pay for care. THEN they'll do all they can to DENY your claim.
The account is a much better idea, IMHO
