Also be careful of the "beard" hair too. kandy dragged one of her three day old babies out of the whelping box and was carrying it around tangled in her beard. Fortunately, hubby and I both saw it just a couple of minutes after it happened. needless to say, that is why Kandy's coat is butchered right now. and also why I had to cut Little Fart's coat when she had babies. i had shaved her belly but once the puppy got tangled in her hair and scared me to death. i hadn't thought her body hair was long enough. i butchered her coat too!!!
