Make sure that he isn't in need of having his teeth cleaned. Also, 'table foods' can contribute to the problem. There are crunchy dog treats that are mint flavored that work pretty well. Also, I have one with stinky breath that nothing seemed to help--got a recommended product (Liquid Oral Care) that you add a cap of to their drinking water. It helps break up plaque and really does help to freshen their breath. Took about 2 weeks to notice a difference. It is wonderful stuff!
