Just make sure you buy from a reputable breeder that knows her lines extremely well. Someone that tests for liver shunt, luxating patellas, etc. If for whatever reason, the dog ends up sick, a good breeder will be there for you.
I purchased from someone who pretended to be a good breeder, and I later found out that she was actually a broker for puppymills. My dog was very sick from day one, and he has pretty severe liver problems that are congenital...We have had to deal with lots of health problems because we didn't buy from a reputable breeder.
I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world though. He is like our 1st child

and we love him more than anything!!
