There really is no magic number as someone has said, but it is in most cases, longer than a number of other different dog breeds. My German Shepherd was housebroken in 1 week after we got her as a 6 week old puppy. My first two yorkies were close to a year each even with diligence, but Tucker is doing quite awesome at a little over seven months with the litter box. Only a couple accidents a week now...YAY!!!!!
