I would recomend sticking with the food the pup is acustomed to eating to when you get it from the breeder. Make any change over to a new food a gradual transition. The pup will be thrown off as it is being in a new environment.

Fact is, NO dog food is made with 'quality' ingredients by human standards. Search around for a food that you think works best for your new pup and make sure that you supplement the diet if need be to get any vital nutrients that the food itself may be lacking. Don't be fooled by the myth that the ingredients listed and the order they appear on the food is a good indication of the nutritional value of what's in the bag.
