I'm not sure, the dishwasher isn't home from work yet so I can't ask him till he gets home which way up he washers things....
Wish we did have a dishwasher though, the detergent strips the skin off my fingers and I hate wearing gloves in water so my BF does all the washing up... we plan on getting a dishwasher one day though.
