I don't know if this is possible for you.....But, before I attempted my first breeding, I assisted my mentor in several whelpings. When it came time for my first female to whelp...I packed both of us up and stayed with my breeder until the puppies were whelped....I figured that even though I assisted her in several whelpings...the female she had entrusted me with was just to precious....so, I wanted an expert there.
