I think the nipping and biting should stop once he gets out of his puppy stage. Cocoa did that same thing and I don't really have a problem with it anymore (he is almost a year old). I'm by far not an expert on training but, I think most of it just takes patience. Cocoa still jumps on people so, I have no idea how to stop that....he is just super friendly and wants everyone's attention. The playmate idea is a good one, I did notice a lot of Cocoa's "bad habits" became obsolete when I adopted Daisy. (I originally adopted her because I wanted to save her from the animal shelter and find her a home and fell in love with her and so did Cocoa). I wish you the best of luck!!
