My husband works as a ramp service agent for Frontier Airlines here in STL. He says that dogs are regularly transported in the aircraft in the cargo-hold, but in a separate section from regular baggage. He says all the employees take extra special care of animals and they are in a heated/airconditioned part of the cargo-hold. He has also unloaded animals that are arriving at their destination and says they look perfectly fine. Frontier has rules that they all have to have food and water and be check by their vet before flying.
