By far, imho, #2! Very cool. BUT, I would suggest that you ask for "fast loading" for intros or transitions after picking a "bubble". The main thing I disliked about the maze was, while the concept is cool, it takes too long to "do its thing" and get you to where you want to go. When I find that quality in a website (where "coolness" is chosen over navigation) I close the window and don't bother.
So, I love it that you're looking for a "coolness" factor, bc my creative side always loves that - but always keep quickness of navigation as the balancer to the cool factor. #2 is just so cool!
