He's not needy at all (My Chi's were always needy).
My previous employer, years ago, had a little Yorkie man that she rescued and had for almost 16 years. She was completely devastated when she lost him. She's had two since, and absolutely adores the breed. Now I know why.
I also cannot believe how smart and sociable Widdles is, in spite of his terrible start in life.

Widdles came into my life in an unusual way. He needed me. And he seems to show it every single day. He's content to be with us, riding in his front pack or just hanging out. He follows us constantly, but when we leave the house he goes to my robe (which is now his) on the bedroom floor and curls up and snoozes the time away. He quickly learned that Old Lady Indigo will play, but only in the gentlest way. When she disciplines him he drops, but comes right back with apologies.

This dog truly is a love, and a genuine asset to my life.
Awww, my heart is melting. What a beautiful tribute to your Yorkie. Do you have any pictures to share besides the back of his head in your avatar? And what is the unusual way that he came into your life...if you care to share?
