Hee hee I thought it was just me who used a fine toothed comb to get the gunk off my Yorkies' eyes !
It works fab...even better if you've had the dog since a puppy ! I've had one of mine since a puppy and the other two were older when I got them and took some perseverance to get used to a comb coming near their eyes !
I find it is sometimes better when the gunk is hard - to slip the comb under it and it lifts off better with no fuss or pain....but if it's really gunky and wet, then I sponge it first and then get the rest with the comb !
All my three are 4lbs with long hair.
I also clip the fur right down near the inner corner of the eye - which also seems to keep the doggies gunkless !
Eeeeuuuu ! What a subject ! Makes me want to boke thinking about it !
