I would definitely be worried about any owls. In the winter here we have hawks and bald eagles so I keep my 2 on leashes at all times outside. Last year one of the hawks was sitting on the power line eyeing Chloe. It flew onto the roof of the house and continued watching her. It made me so nervous I picked her up and went inside.
