I read in a yorkie book that when they scoot on their behind that they need their anal glands expressed. I had seen Annie doing it when she was little and asked the vet about it. He said that she was fine and didn't need it. After the next time I realized that she was doing it immediately after she went to the bathroom, and as it turned out she had some poop stuck to her bottom and was just trying to clean it off So from then on I would check her bottom to make sure it is clean and she would be fine. Now her poop is solid and she doesn't do it anymore. So just make sure that that is in fact the problem and not a dirty toosh Our little darlings like to be clean as well, I suppose!
