I'm sorry you're having a difficult time finding a job. Not sure if this was mentioned--haven't read the entire thread yet--have you considered working in clothing retail or department stores? I used to work at The Limited YEARS ago and we always hired extra people for the holiday season--especially for the day after Thanksgiving because it was always so busy. Macy's hires around the holidays, too--my friend always gets sucked in and ends up working around the holidays--then they ask her to stay. I personally could NEVER work in retail again because people can be so RUDE, especially during the holidays when there are LONG lines and crowds of people, but if you can ignore all that rudeness, retail might be an option for you.
