If he is acting fine, eating and drinking. Then tomorrow if he still has bad diahrrea you can go to the vet. ESPECIALLY if he has been eating a foreign substance. I hope I am explaining myself well enough. Unless you know exactly what is wrong with an animal you should not try to medicate them yourselves, you only make it harder for the vet to diagnose them.
I am not planning on giving him anymore pepto this morning. I am calling the vet first thing before I give him anymore meds. But what i am really concerned about is dehydration and since I have pedialyte I was hoping someone might have an idea about how much I should give him and how often. When I called the vet yesterday They told me to give the chicken rice combo and see if that helps. They told me to call them and they would talk about the dosing for meds such as pepto. It was late in the afternoon when i called them the first time. But by the time I got home from my class it was to late to call them. I had hoped that that the rice /chicken would help. While researching the topic while I have been keeping an eye on him I came across a website that suggested not giving anything because it may mask the condition.
