may I suggest you get her something bigger to chew on and less worrisome at the same time..beef necks, they do not splinter when cooked..
they love them and are good for there teeth and much cheaper, if she needs something to chew on..go to the grocery store and ask..
they are much better then beef soup bones..
I take the smaller pieces away on the chewies rinds,, pigs ears., all the same thing when getting smaller..but mine when they get smaller get more protective so I know it is now small and take the little pieces away. they do not like it, but the beef bones last so long and to me much safer if done right..
