My Shelbie had thick ears and I thought they would never go up, I taped and taped. all of a sudden when she was close to a year, they both stood! I don't know what happened. Mia's stood on their own at 8 weeks old. I guess there is no rhyme nor reason. I have seen some yorkies with the ears down and they are every bit as cute too.
