Thanks for the comments. I'm feeling better about this now that I know others have tiny Yorkies, and they are doing fine.
I would really recommend free feeding him during the day while he is so small...it will help maintain his blood sugar. I even used to put a few pieces of kibble in Jo's crate at night just so he had something if he needed it. You can always change things later when he gains a little weight and gets a little older.
