I do agree about the vet my vet would of never said that.
If she came from a bad place she will have issues,many of her issues will take time patience and consistency to change.
I do think she can come out of all of this with your help,it might be a long haul but can be done.Start small if you have to with one thing at a time and go from there.
The suggestions I gave you I would be doing if she was mine.
It may take months and may take only a short time if you can be consistant?
