I wouldn't defend the guy's perspective, because, as you know, we're all pigs, but your paper shouldn't ignore it. As it has been explained to me, it's sexual harassment if a woman perceives it to be sexual harassment. So if one guy goes up to a woman and makes a welcome advance or joke, no problem. But if another guy does the same thing and it's not welcome, it's sexual harassment.

I realize I'm oversimplifying, but after years of being allowed to abuse our roles, we find ourselves struggling with the rules.
