I hope you find the answer here. Years ago, we bought a Victorian home from a local vet. He would take some of the sick animals home with him. I had no idea the damage done to those beautiful floors, until they moved out. We had to have the floors sanded and completely refinished. Under the area rugs, looked like black mold about the size of saucers. It was actually the PP that had soaked into the wood.
