Welcome to the world of "Yorkie chewed wood furniture!" I have "dentil" moulding in my family room and kitchen. I cannot tell you how to repair the wood (my son is a woodsmith but he's no help) BUT, I can tell you that a post I read on one of the forums can prevent more damage. Deodorant--yep! human deodorant. I went to the dollar store and bought a cheap stick of deodorant and rubbed it on all of the wood furniture and mouldings and they stopped chewing immediately.
I have used the wood filler a lot of times to repair antiques. I buy it at chain home repair stores..Relax, there is more to come..
