Any advice from those who have been through this before? How do they typically act after being neutered? Sleepy? lazy? or are do they still want to act like tazmanian devils?? |
First night, Gizmo was mainly sleepy after we gave him the pain pill. The next few days he gained a little more energy each day. We have always discouraged jumping, so that wasn't an issue. We did find that he followed our lead. When we were calmer, he was calmer. One time I tried to rush and do something and he started running around. So, I just took it easy myself for a couple of days and spent time with Gizmo on my lap. It worked for us.
Good luck and let us know how it goes. And no, it doesn't sound like too much. It's better to get it all done, so he doesn't have to go under anesthesia again anytime soon. Hugs to both of you.
