Just came across this thread.. I had a Maltese many years ago. She was the sweetest little thing. So placid and loving. I kept her long for a while but eventually had her hair cut. She was pretty healthy and lived to 17 yrs.
She was a real daddys girl and when Hubby went away on business trips she missed him terribly.. my neighbours always knew when he returned, 'cause they could hear her SCREAMING for joy. We still miss her although she has been gone for about 12 years now.
