We've had Direct TV for about 7 months now and we love it. We don't get bad storms here in my area, so we've never had to deal with outages or anything of that sort. We pay $110/month for 500+ channels and the picture quality is better than we were getting with cable. We also got the DVR and I couldn't live without it now that we have it. I much prefer satellite over cable
