Understandably so, I would think. I suspect that the APRI genepool is less widespread with fewer dogs than AKC, therefore fewer to choose from.
Quite frankly, I don't know the first think abotu APRI, having never dealt with them before, but if they are even attempting to host any kind of show or event promoting conformation, that's better than most.
I guess for them it's a no win situation.
Their CH dogs are a lesser quality so they get crap for it, but if they didn't hold any kind of conformation event, they'd get crap for that too.
(And that is not to discredit what you are saying Pat, because I understand your point and a get what you are saying regarding an AKC vs non-AKC Ch.)
