How adorable!
I have a 16 year old blue point that now lives with my grandma to keep her company since she can no longer have dogs. It worked out wonderfully since my yorkies started to torment her as she got older.
Her fur is as beautiful today as it was almost 17 years ago. I trim her down fairly short every summer (she looks like a siamese for a few months, lol) and it grows back by the end of winter. Her only problem is that she is almost completely deaf, other than that she's doing well.
I have always loved himmies.
