When i took Koda in last weekend i said the exact same thing. he had some mats that with no matter how much brushing they still came and they stayed. I told the groomer to cut him down to get them all out but leave it as long as possible. AND keep his face! . it was shocking at first but we now are really liking it. He is so soft
