Lucy has a large kitchen/family area that she stays in when we are at work. I trained Lucy to a potty pad and it took her a month or so to become consistant. I also used the green pee pads, Nature's Miracle I think they are called. I tried the unscented but these for some reason worked the best for her.
Unlike dogs I have had in the past that were larger I know that Lucy is small and to expect her to hold it all day is unrealistic. If I can't hold it for more than a couple of hours how could I expect a 3 lb. baby to do so?
Patience, and more patience-and then some more patience has been the key for us. Best of luck
