kk i'm looking @ the tag & it saids that xs fits 2-6lbs length is 6-9" & small fits 7-12lbs length is 10-13"....IMHO i think i would get small since if you wash it...it might shrink a tad bit....and since you are seamstress you are able to alter it if it's a tad big than small right ??
