I keep Teddi in half of my kitchen (I found when I gave her the whole kitchen it was too big and she would forget to go back to the pad to pee). She is now over 1 year and she has it down now. I take her out before I go to work and she pees and poops and then I put her in the kitchen and she usually only does one pee during the day and then I take her out right when I get home from work. She used to pee a few times and poop once durning the day on the pads but now I think she has figured out how to hold it longer. If you do the same routine every day they figure it out. She also used to cry (actually it sounded like a bird) when I put her in there but now she is completely silent because she knows that's the routine. Good luck!
